Kavita Singhania, is the Managing Director of Express Newspapers (from 1993), Express Infrastructure (from 2005), E Residences (from 2014). She is a prominent business personality and her success is built upon establishing Express Avenue mall an integrated multi use commercial complex, consisting of a shopping mall, multiplex, with a Hotel and service apartments and redefining the shopping and entertainment experience for the people of Chennai. She also created Chennai's landmark luxury residential project Express Exclusive. Ms Singhania has her Master's degree and a Doctorate in Economics. During her stay in Kanpur, she had taken over a sick steel plant, JK Iron and Steel Pvt Ltd. and turned it into a successful business. She also built a Mall called Gumti Plaza during 1992 at Kanpur and sold it. During these business successes, she was the Managing Director at JK Iron and Steel Pvt Ltd.
